Next weekend Father Thomas W. Falkenthal will speak at all the Masses about the ministry of Food for the Poor. This ministry provides direct relief to the poor throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. Father Falkenthal will share his personal witness about the importance of Food for the Poor’s mission to care for the destitute as a means of living out the Gospel mandate to love one another.
Father Falkenthal was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Chicago in 1975. After serving parishes in Chicago, he entered the U.S. Navy as Commander of the Chaplain Corps. He served overseas and retired after 24 years of active duty before joining Food for the Poor. We welcome Father Falkenthal to the Parish.
